2016 Spring Fair

The annual St Vincent’s College Spring Fair was a great day that raised thousands of dollars.

Our house Aikenhead was running two stalls that were very popular. The jumping castle and the petting zoo.

Here are the photos from the day:

A big thank you to everyone who turned up and I would like to call out a few special girls:

  • Sophia Micos created and posted promotional posters all around the fair!
    • Maddison Aitken (9)
    • all the girls who volunteered to run the two Aikenhead stalls! They did an awesome job running the petting zoo and jumping castle! They also were great at keeping the lines full by inviting people to join the fun.

2016 St Vincent’s Performing Arts Night

Aikenhead girls had a wonderful time at the 2016 St Vincent’s Performing Arts Night. We worked hard all term, putting in many lunch times and CP classes with our year groups to create the fantastic final product. A big thank you to the girls who choreographed.

Here are the photos from the night:

The results:
Aikenhead placed 3rd. We congratulate O’Brian house on their win.

All of us in Aikenhead are proud of all the talent we saw on display that night.

Calling all Aikenhead girls to donate any stylish clothes, shoes or accessories that you are no longer needing to contribute to the Vinnies Op-Shop Fashion Parade and Stall in Week 5 this term! This is a major event for house points, so the more we donate, the more points we will receive.

Show that generosity of spirit and start collecting!

Swimming Carnival 2016

Congratulations Aikenhead. We did very well with our 2nd place for the day, the most number of age champions (3) and 3rd place in the cheer.

We congratulate Cater and their win. We were looking good until victory was snatched in the last relays by Cater.

Here are some great memories for the day.

Welcome to the Aikenhead Website!

Hi girls!

Welcome to the brand new and very exciting Aikenhead Website! This is a place where we can update you with House news and achievements, promote various Aikenhead projects, and share photos from carnivals and events.

A huge THANK YOU to the creatively minded and technologically gifted Eve Cogan (Year 9) from Tutor 9 for creating an online space just for our Aikenhead Community to use.

I look forward to seeing our progress throughout the year!
